Sri Lanka opt to bat first

Pallekele - Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan has won the toss and elected to bat first in the first limited-overs match against Australia at Pallekele International Stadium on Thursday.

Sri Lanka goes into the five-match with confidence after beating Australia in the Twenty20 series, 2-0.

Australia however have been bolstered by the arrival of three senior batsmen: captain Michael Clarke, former captain Ricky Ponting, and Mike Hussey.
