Despite these late heroics, I still expect Amla to be named man-of-the-match for scoring 109 and help South Africa post 304/5.

  • South Africa win by 75 runs - South Africa batted well and posted 304 from their 50 overs, Amla and AB involved in a 151-run partnership. Sri Lankans started batting well but South African fielding and bowling were clinical and the hosts kept losing wickets. Sanga scored a fighting 88 runs but did not get support from the other end. In the end Sri Lanka were bowled out for 229 runs, South Africa win by 75 runs.
