SA A to tour Australia

Johannesburg - South Africa A will tour Australia in July and August when they will play two four-day "Test" matches against Australia A and also compete in a quadrangular limited overs series against Australia A, India, and the Australian National Performance Squad (NPS).

The fixtures were released by Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday.

"This is the second leg of our tripartite agreement with Cricket Australia and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)," said Cricket SA (CSA) general manager Corrie van Zyl.

"We entertained Australia and India last year and next year we will be travelling to India.

"This provides the opportunity to test our next-best players, including those who have recently been awarded High Performance Centre (HPC) contracts."

South Africa A v NPS, Northern Territory, July 20; South Africa A v India A, Northern Territory, July 22; South Africa A v Australia A, Northern Territory, July 24; South Africa A v India A, Northern Territory, July 26; South Africa A v Australia A, Northern Territory, July 29; South Africa A v NPS, Northern Territory, July 31.

Four day matches:

South Africa A v Australia, Queensland, August 7 to 10; South Africa A v Australia, Queensland, August 14 to 17.
