Cape Town - South Africa is making its presence felt at Lord's, both on the pitch and amongst the spectators, with Vergelegen wines gracing the tables in the Nursery Pavilion.
Some 800 members watching the England and South Africa tussle for the top spot in Test cricket were able to enjoy two Vergelegen wines, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot and the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, at lunch over the five days.
The wines were also available in selected VIP boxes.
“Over the past 300 years Vergelegen wines have been enjoyed at many great occasions and it’s fantastic to be able to add the final match between the world’s two top test sides at the home of cricket to that list,” says Vergelegen CEO, Don Tooth.
