Rossouw released from Proteas squad

Cape Town - The Proteas have released Rilee Rossouw from their squad ahead of the fourth Test against England in Pretoria on Friday.

Rossouw will instead turn out for the Knights in Sunfoil Series action when they take on the Warriors in East London.

There had been suggestions that Rossouw might make his Test debut at Centurion given the batting problems that have plagued South Africa, and specifically the concerning form of Faf du Plessis in the middle-order.

But with Rossouw out, Du Plessis now only has JP Duminy to contend with to keep his place in the side.

Wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock, meanwhile, was having a final fitness test on Wednesday afternoon after he sprained his knee while walking his dogs last week.

He is expected to play in the fourth Test.

England have already won the series and they go into the final match with a 2-0 lead.
