Rabada up to No 2 in Test rankings

Cape Town - Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has moved up to No 2 in the latest ICC Test bowler rankings.

Rabada swapped places with India's Ravindra Jadeja after the completion of the third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka in New Delhi, which ended in a draw.

Meanwhile, Dale Steyn dropped two places to slot in at No 10.

Steyn, who has returned to competitive action for the Titans, is set to make his international comeback against Zimbabwe in the historic day/night 4-day Boxing Day Test in Port Elizabeth.

Among the batsmen, India captain Virat Kohli has moved up three places to grab second position after registering his career-best score of 243 in New Delhi.

Kohli, who started the series in sixth, leapfrogged Australia's David Warner, India's Cheteshwar Pujara, New Zealand's Kane Williamson and England's Joe Root from move second in the batting standings.

The India skipper also closed the gap between himself and No 1-ranked Australian Steve Smith, who is currently leading his side in the ongoing Ashes series against England where they hold a 2-0 lead after as many Tests.

Proteas' Hashim Amla and Dean Elgar remain seventh and 10th, respectively.
