Proteas lose Morkel for ODI series

Cape Town - The Proteas will have to do without the services for all-rounder Albie Morkel for the upcoming five-match ODI series against England.

Morkel, who was added to the ODI squad along with fast bowler Marchant de Lange, was suffering from back spasms on Sunday morning in the build-up to the Titans' One Day Cup match against the Warriors in East London.

Morkel has been ruled out of the entire series, which starts on Wednesday in Bloemfontein.

Morkel's replacement will be named on Monday.
