Cape Town - The Proteas have a fresh injury concern ahead of the second Test against India when pictures emerged of Vernon Philander being carried off the field during training in Bangalore on Thursday.
ESPNcricinfo tweeted that Philander twisted his ankle while playing football, and the pictures suggest that he was unable to walk off the field without assistance.
There is already doubt over the fitness of fast bowler Dale Steyn, who suffered a groin injury in the first Test in Mohali.
The Proteas go into Saturday's second Test 1-0 down in the series.
