Morris: The million dollar man

Cape Town - Despite been left out of the Proteas team for the second one-day international against England in Port Elizabeth, all-rounder Chris Morris had reason to smile after IPL franchise, the Delhi Daredevils, snapped up his services for IPL 2016 for a cool $1 million (approximately R16 million).

Morris, who had previously played for both the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings, will join up with his new team-mates when the competition gets underway in April.

The Titans all-rounder made his test debut for South Africa in the recent series against England and also is a member of both the Proteas one-day and T20 squads.

Naturally, Morris was ecstatic to hear the news.

Morris was sold for over 14 times his initial base price of around $74 000.
