  • 19.6 - Kagiso Rabada to Mitchell Marsh. Full toss, middle stump on the front foot driving, to long on for 2 runs, mis-fielded by Miller. Hit down the ground and a mis-field from Miller means that the Australians can get back for two and win the game!

What a fantastic game of cricket played by these two teams today. Du Plessis, Miller and de Kock set up a difficult chase for Australia, with Falukner chipping in with three wickets. Then South Africa started off brilliantly with the ball restricting Australia to 32-3. When Maxwell and Warner were both at the crease the game changed. A fantastic partnership of 159 off 79 balls saw the Aussies close to the target, then Marsh and Faulkner finshed it off to win by five wickets! That levels the series at 1-1 and it will now go to a decider!

What a brilliant last few overs for the Proteas, that has given a daunting target for the Aussies to chase down. De Kock got the innings off to a flyer and Miller provided good support, but du Plessis finished off the innings in style with some big hits. Faulkner was the only bowler that kept things tight and picked up three good wickets. Australia now have it all to do in the second innings to try and level the series, otherwise South Africa will have an unassailable 2-0 lead.

  • 14.5 - SIX! Ashton Agar to David Miller. Stock ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs.
