Cape Town - Proteas star Faf du Plessis has broken a finger in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will be sidelined for six weeks.
Du Plessis took to Twitter on Thursday to confirm the injury - and thank his IPL team, the Rising Pune Supergiants.
The Supergiants are currently in sixth place in the eight-team standings.
Du Plessis had been in super form for his IPL team, having scored 206 runs at an average of 34.33 in the six matches they have contested.
