Cape Town - As long as the weather plays its part, the Boxing Day Test in Durban looks set to provide an electric atmosphere.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed to Sport24 on Thursday that there were less than 2 000 tickets left for Saturday's first day's play at Kingsmead.
That number was the latest available figure, suggesting that the final figure will be close to a sell-out.
CSA confirmed that, by Wednesday, 15 300 tickets had been sold for the first day.
The Proteas are taking on England in a four-match Test series. After the Durban Test the teams will move to Cape Town on January 2, Johannesburg on January 14 and Pretoria on January 22.
