Arrest warrant issued for former Proteas player

Cape Town - A warrant of arrest has been issued for former Proteas cricketer, Thami Tsolekile, after he failed to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate court on Wednesday.

According to EWN Tsolekile, was due to appear before the court in an ongoing case in which the former wicket-keeper is accused of assaulting a 14 year old boy in Pinelands in September.

Tsolekile was arrested on 8 October and has already appeared regarding the assault charge, something he denied.

Tsolekile is serving a twelve year ban for match-fixing after he was found guilty in July of trying to manipulate the results of matches during the 2015 RAM SLAM T20 Challenge series.
