Zulu: Zondo deserves his chance

Durban - Dolphins coach Lance Klusener is eager to see innovative batsman Khaya Zondo exposed to international cricket.

The 25-year-old is a part of the T20 and ODI squads currently on tour in India, and he is sure to be handed a debut at some stage over the next three or so weeks.

"I think he’s got to a stage where it would be nice to have a look at him at that level. He has come a hell of a long way and he’s done a great job for us at the Dolphins," Klusener said.

"Can he do it at international level? Well, it’s nice that we’re going to get a chance to look. There’s not many guys that practice harder and work harder and are more determined than Khaya and I wish him all the best."

The Proteas play the first of three T20s against India on Friday in Dharamshala. The match starts at 15:00 (SA time).
