Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) has closed applications for the position of head coach of the Proteas.
CSA CEO Gerald Majola said: “The process to appoint the new head coach for the Proteas is well underway. A singular mark of the applications received is that the CSA panel is in a fortunate position to choose from quality rather than quantity. For the sake of confidentiality CSA will not make these names public.”
The panel, appointed by CSA to recommend the new coach to the Board, has drawn up a short list and is expected to start reviewing the applications in March and conduct the interviews in April immediately after the Cricket World Cup.
