Kolkata - A wet outfield caused by afternoon rain delayed the start of the third Twenty20 international between India and South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
The match gives India a chance to restore pride ahead of next year's World T20, with the tourists already enjoying a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
The umpires are due to inspect conditions at 7.30 pm (1400 GMT) -- which is 30 minutes after the scheduled start -- to determine the fate of the match.
After the T20 series, South Africa will play five one-day internationals and four Tests during their 10-week tour of India.
