Rain delays play in PE

Cape Town - Rain on Monday delayed the start of the fourth day's play between South Africa and the West Indies at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth.

LIVE SCORING: SA v West Indies

The West Indies are 144/2 in their first innings after South Africa had declared on 417/8 in the rain-marred Test.

Kraigg Brathwaite (65*) and Marlon Samuels (60*) hit half-centuries before bad weather again halted play late on Sunday.

Morne Morkel (2/24) was the only successful South African bowler, taking two wickets in two balls.

He ended a 55-run opening partnership between Brathwaite and Devon Smith (22) by having Smith caught at first slip, with Leon Johnson (0) edging the next delivery to third slip.
