West Indies 266/9
Russell 64* (40)
They win by one wicket with 9 balls to spare. Well played to them, but South Africa will still be very concerned about their death bowling.
SIX! Russell is the hero, he has won it for the West Indies! He smashed that straight back over Abbott's head as he missed his length again.
Great innings from the West Indies allrounder.
A quick single gets Russell on strike for the next over.
West Indies now need 7 off 14 balls with 1 wicket in hand.
WICKET! West Indies panic! Brathwaite wants to get off strike, he runs as soon as he plays the ball to short square leg. De Villiers is in like a flash and Van Wyk does the rest.

West Indies 227/8 in 45 overs.
They require 36 to win off 30 balls.
WICKET! WHAT A CATCH! A low full toss which Holder tries to flick over mid-wicket. Miller has other ideas and he climbs high into the air and grabs it with a full outstretched right hand!
JO Holder c Miller b Duminy 13 (12b 2x4 0x6) SR: 108.33
TWO HUNDRED UP FOR THE WEST INDIES
The 200 has taken 245 balls.

Wicket: Phangiso returns. Wicket!! Brathwaite gives his wicket away as it's another run-out. Straight to AB, who sends it back. OUT!! Sheldon Cottrell is the last man in and takes a single to put Russell on strike. WOW!! six over long-on. Is this ball also lost? No, but the next one maybe as it's six more! to bring up the 250!! and Russell's fifty. He adds two more and then it's wide again. Russell retains strike.
This could be interesting. Wayne Parnell returns. AB moves into the slips. WOW!! Just the next ball AB drops Brathwaite in the slips..Is that even possible? Is that a turning point? as they take a single. Parnell follows it up with a wide! Parnell manages to get some movement here. Russell is given out caught behind, but reviews the decision. The decision is overturned. He is NOT OUT!! Parnell ends with 1/48.
Morkel returns to Brathwaite. It's a wide, yet again. Brathwaite adds a single to third man. Six!! to Russell over long-off. Too full from Morkel. Russell is the key for the West Indies as they now need 26 off 24. They add two singles.
Kyle Abbott returns for his 9th over. He manages to keep Brathwaite on strike for three deliveries without a run. Six! as Brathwaite plays one over long-on. They need six + per over, so that was the boundary for this over. He retains the strike with a last ball single.
Carlos Brathwaite is the new batsman, as Aaron Phangiso returns. Great over as he beats them and has them thinking before playing. Also good variation. Two runs off the over as they now need 43 off 36 balls.
Wicket: JP Duminy returns to the bowling attack. It's four runs off the first three deliveries. Four! over deep extra cover by Holder. That was too much width from Duminy. Wicket!! JP strikes and Holder departs for 13. He is well caught by David Miller at mid-wicket. He went for it, but needed more power.

Phangiso returns to Samuels. Great start again by Aaron as he keeps them at bay. Just four singles from the over, despite the fact that Samuels tries to assert himself here.
Wicket: Parnell strikes first ball. Wicket!! Sammy is caught by AB for 51, in the covers. What a catch!!! He kept his eye on the ball and made sure he took that safely. Andre Russell is in next. They add three more. Russell finishes off the over with a four over extra-cover.
Kyle Abbott is back into the attack. Wide!! down leg to start. Y O Y?? Shot Sammy!! six over square leg. Too short and asked to be hit. We have lost our ball. He gave himself room there. Good recovery by the bowler. A last ball single is added and it's five off the first power play over.
Parnell continues. Samuels starts with single. Four! as Sammy drives on the up to extra cover. They add two more singles and a leg bye as they take 8 off the over.

50: Samuels plays the first Parnell delivery to long-off for four, to bring up his 24th ODI fifty!! It's a good recovery from the bowler as he follows that up with five dot balls.
Abbott continues. Great Over as he concedes just a single. AB stands tall at mid-wicket and stops the run flow. At the same stage South Africa had 139/4.
Parnell continues to Sammy. A good start as he keeps it full and on the off stump. He then slips in the slower, off-cutter. Sammy adds a single into the covers. Samuels retains the strike with a single to long-on. Only two off the over.
Kyle Abbott returns . Six!! to Sammy over the fine leg fence. That was not controlled but the outside edge was effective. Great fielding as AB saves a certain run!
Wayne Parnell returns to the attack. Samuels pushes one to third man for a single, while Sammy flicks the next to square leg for 1. Samuels collects another easy single. Shot! Sammy takes four to long-on. That was needed in this over but they need more!
Phangiso continues. He keeps it tight yet again. Only four singles as the batsman at least managed to rotate the strike a few times.
Duminy bowls his fourth over. He concedes just six runs as the pressure continues to grow. We have only seen 19 runs in the last five overs and at this stage South Africa had 116/4.

Aaron Phangiso returns to the attack. Just two singles in the over as Sammy get's off the mark. The required rate is now 6.68
Wicket: JP Duminy returns to the bowling attack. They miss the chance for an easy single. They can't afford this. Duminy mixes things up here again. Oh Dear!!! Behardien continues to Samuels who takes an easy single to long-on. Carter gets off the mark with a four, over square leg. A good way to get things going for him.

Morne Morkel returns. Four! well played Samuels, as he sends it over extra-cover. He cuts past point, for one more. Good return for Morkel, despite the boundary.
Wicket: Farhaan Behardien comes into the attack. It's a bit too easy as they can choose where to place him. What??? Wicket!! Ramdin is out LBW. That hit him on the back pad and that is OUT!! Drinks!! Jonathan Carter walks in after the break.
Parnell continues. Just a single to Ramdin , but then he bowls a last ball wide, which was too high! The extra ball concedes a single into the covers. Three off it as the required rate is 6.23
Wicket: Phangiso continues to Samuels, who pushes one to mid-wicket for a single. Good fielding prevents any more runs and builds the pressure. Wicket!! that's what pressure does. Johnson is run-out! by AB de Villiers. He pushed it into the covers straight to AB, who sent it back to the keeper in double quick time. No chance as van Wyk took it low. Denesh Ramdin, is the new batsman.
Parnell concedes a first ball single to Samuels down to square leg. Johnson does the same with the next ball. Marlon rotates the strike by taking one more to short mid-wicket. Just the three singles in the over.
Phangiso continues. He concedes two singles, then bowls a wide. He continues keeping up the pressure. Good over again!
Wayne Parnell, comes into the attack. Recent history tells us that he will either be great to start or completely pathetic! let's see. He starts short and wide. Samuels takes a single into the covers, as he receives another wider delivery. Six!! over square leg. That was a top edge and was caught by JP,,,but he touched the rope.
Aaron Phangiso is the new bowler. Good variation with length and mix of pace rewards him with a Maiden!! Great Start!!
Duminy is dispatched between extra cover and long off, for four by Johnson, to start the new over. Great Shot and good timing! Four more! this time to fine leg as he rolls his wrists. He adds one to end the over.
Abbott continues, this time to Samuels. Chin music to start for Marlon. A few shorter deliveries immediately. Four, as the Jamaican sends Abbott flying over extra-cover. Shot!!
Wicket: Interesting as JP Duminy is into the attack. Will this tempt Gayle? Yes!! is the answer!! Wicket!! first ball as Gayle is caught by Behardien in the covers. Soft dismissal again for Gayle. That was a floater waiting to be hit! Marlon Samuels is the new batsman. Samuels retains the strike with a last ball single to long-on. Good over JP.
Abbott bowls his third over. This time it's short to start. Four! as Gayle sends the second ball over extra-cover. slapped!! too much time to free his arms. He recovers well and concedes only one more single as Gayle retains the strike.
Morne Morkel continues to Gayle. Morkel too, maintains that off stump line. Gayle gets an inside edge and earns one to square leg.
Abbott continues to Johnson. He does well as he keeps it full and outside the off stump. He gets a well deserved Maiden!
Morkel concedes a first ball single, as Gayle directs one to third man. It's the inevitable Morkel wide! this time outside the off stump as it swings away even more. Johnson is beaten as he follows another wider delivery. He goes around the wicket to the left-hander halfway through. Johnson, edges one to third man, to get off the mark.
Kyle Abbott opens from the other end, bowling to Gayle. He opens his account with two runs, off a straighter delivery. Gayle retains the strike with a single into the covers.
Wicket: Morne Morkel opens the bowling to Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle. A loud shout for LBW gets us going. Morkel seems convinced, they review and replays shows it's going down leg. The review wasted on ball one! Wicket!! he gets his man two balls later. Smith is cleaned bowled by Morkel. Leon Johnson is the new man. We start with a wicket-maiden.
South Africa 262/8 after 50 overs - The hosts will be happy with this score. They lost early wickets and at one stage were 76/4. After 25 overs they were on 116/4. Then the David Miller show started. He did well to get SA to 262 and himself to 130 n/o. Join us for the chase in a little while.
Holder bowls the last over. Wicket! and Wicket! as he bowls Parnell with a yorker and then Phangiso is caught by Johnson off the first ball. It's a good last over by the skipper as he claims two sculps and concedes only three runs.
Miller slaps the first Russell delivery over long-on for six! Then it's four past the leg side sweeper. What will SA end up if he continues like this? Six! more, this time over the cover fence! That was too wide and it's 250!! up.
Jason Holder continues. 100!! for David Miller. It's his maiden ODI ton!! off 122 balls. Well played son. He steps up to the plate!!! Four as he sends it over extra-cover. Holder bowls a half-volley and is sent over long-off for six!! This is what SA wanted!

200: Jason Holder returns. Wicket!! Behardien is bowled as he completely misses the delivery. It was a good delivery but there was zero footwork from the batsman. The coach says that he is a big game player!..but we didn't see any of that today. Wayne Parnell, the local lad is in next. A wicket, a wide and just four runs off it. 200 up for SA!!
Sammy bowls his last over. Wide! as he isnt happy with the umpire this time, for calling it. He concedes six more runs as the rate sits at 4.65 after 41 overs. Will the onslaught start now?

Carlos Brathwaite comes in to bowl. He starts full and on the off stump. Miller plays a length delivery to mid off, for a single. A good start from him.
Wicket: AB starts with a four to deep mid-wicket. Wicket!! A huge blow for the hosts. AB departs and that drop is not too expensive. Another catch for Ramdin as AB walks for 19 without waiting for the umpire. That was off an inside edge. JP Duminy joins Miller.

That may prove expensive in the end. Let's see ..AB dropped on 6.
Andre Russell comes into the attack now. He mixes them up between middle and leg and middle and off. A good start and it's a Maiden!!

Wicket: Cottrell continues. Wicket!! It's all happening here for the West Indies. van Wyk is also caught behind off an outside edge. That was too wide to play that shot and he throws his wicket away. It's Miller time as David Miller joins AB. He is welcomed by five wides as it beats the keeper too. Miller opens his account with four! over square leg.
Wicket: Jason Holder bowls his 3rd over. Holder drifts down leg and van Wyk sends him to the square leg boundary, for four! Not the best of fielding by Smith on the boundary, one may add. He adds one more to the same position. Wicket!! Faf is caught behind by Ramdin for 4!!! What a catch!!! It's a thick outside edge and Ramdin dives to collect it before it touches the ground. ABD walks in next,
Cottrell continues to Faf. It's a mix batch between an off stump line and drifting down on the leg side. Once again the West Indies spoils five good balls with a last ball boundary. Faf plays a wider delivery very well over extra cover, to open his account.
