QUOTE

"Got a little bit twitchy there. It was set up by the bowlers, chasing 140 should be pretty comfortable most times, we got there in the end. I thought we bowled really well at the back end, used the conditions well and pressured them after a good start. It's nice to be making runs, that's my job, so hopefully keep doing it," said Australian man-of-the-match Cameron White, who made 41 not out off 31 balls.

But the young South African side will nevertheless take a lot from this series. It must be remembered that there was no Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers, Morne Morkel or Dale Steyn for this series...

09 Nov 2014

Well done to Australia!

As I mentioned earlier, the Proteas were about 15 runs short of what they needed to post. Credit to David Wiese (3/21) and Robin Peterson (3/28), who made sure South Africa stay in the game. Kyle Abbott's death bowling was also impressive at the end there.

09 Nov 2014

Australia also win the three-match T20 series 2-1.

White scrambles through for a single and Australia win with one ball to spare...

Oh dear, Boyce hits it straight to a fielder at point. They run but Peterson misses the stumps. White was well short of his ground there... but the throw narrowly missed.

09 Nov 2014

FOUR! Abbott plays a late cut and flicks Parnell for four. Too wide from Parnell, giving the batsman too much room.

5 runs needed off 9 balls.

09 Nov 2014

Parnell is given the ball for the penultimate over. He has been horrific today, conceding 36 off three overs.

09 Nov 2014

Terrific bowling from Wiese today. He finishes with figures of 3/21 in four overs!

09 Nov 2014

Now Parnell chips in with a wide... sigh...

09 Nov 2014

Repays show that six was all of 85m!

09 Nov 2014

White smashes Parnell over mid-off for SIX. Parnell costing SA big time here today.

09 Nov 2014

Apologies, it was actually Hendricks who caught Maxwell in the deep, and not Parnell.

09 Nov 2014

De Lange back on now to bowl the 14th over.
