De Kock ton anchors Proteas

Cape Town - An excellent century by Quinton de Kock anchored the Proteas innings in the third one-day international against India in Rajkot.

De Kock's 103 off 118 balls, along with a well constructed 60 by Faf du Plessis allowed the Proteas to reach 270/7 after their allotted 50 overs. At one point, it seemed that the visitors might easily reach 300, but the wickets of du Plessis, De Kock and AB de Villiers for the addition of only nine runs stopped any momentum the Proteas batsmen had built up.

Farhaan Behardien's 33 at almost a run-a-ball helped to ensure the Proteas reached 270. Indian spinners Harbhajan Singh (1/41) and Amit Mishra (1/38) were the standout bowlers for the hosts.
