Cape Town - Proteas wicketkeeper and batsman Quinton de Kock is set for a stint with the South Africa 'A' side in India.
The 22-year-old lost his place in the Test side on Thursday after a lean run of form, and www.espncricinfo.com were reporting that De Kock would be sent to India with the SA 'A' side to rediscover some form.
The SA 'A' side will play against India 'A' and Australia 'A' in a triangular series next month before staying in India for a two-Test series against India 'A'.
If De Kock was to be a part of that tour he would miss August's limited over series against New Zealand at home.
But with four Test matches penciled in for the Proteas' tour of India, which spans over October, November and December, there may be more benefit in having De Kock acclimatising to sub-continent conditions with the 'A' side.
AB de Villiers is also set to return to the SA squad for next month's New Zealand series and would be an option to keep wicket.
