CSA announce winning fans

Johannesburg - Estelle Warrener from Johannesburg and Pleasure Hugh Nkosi from Potchefstroom have both have won the opportunity to bring three guests with them to the 2011 SA Cricket Awards gala dinner for voting for their favourite player in the CSA Fans’ Cricketer of the Year competition.

The 2011 SA Cricket Awards Gala Dinner is the culmination of CSA Day, a day set aside annually by CSA, to celebrate the achievements of the South African cricket family, both on and off the field during the past season.

CSA Day starts with the SA Cricket Awards breakfast, in association with KFC, which is held to celebrate the stars of tomorrow, followed by the CSA Golf Invitational, which gives key stakeholders an opportunity to have a round of golf with the Proteas.

In the evening, the entire Proteas team joins the CSA family for the 2011 SA Cricket Awards Dinner.

The 2010 Fans Cricketer of the Year, Hashim Amla, said: “Fans play a vital role in cricket and the support that we receive from the South African fans is one of the best out there. I didn’t expect to win this award last year and the recognition from the fans really meant a lot to me.”
