Prasad replaces Fernando

Colombo - Sri Lanka has picked seamer Dhammika Prasad to replace the injured Dilhara Fernando for the limited-overs cricket series against England.

Fernando was injured during the third Test against England at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. Sri Lanka Cricket said on Wednesday that he is set to return home.

Fernando played two Tests in the three-match series, which England won 1-0.

Prasad has played five one-day internationals for Sri Lanka, taking five wickets.

England and Sri Lanka will play a Twenty20 match and five one-day internationals starting on Saturday.
