Benoni - The Titans have strolled to an eight wicket victory over the Knights inside 23 overs in their One-Day Cup match at Willowmore Park in Benoni on Wednesday.

Chasing a paltry score of 91 runs to win, the home side cantered to a bonus-point victory.

Heino Kuhn was bowled for a well-played 43 shortly before the Titans reached the score set by the Knights, as he had his middle stump removed by Tumi Masekela.

Meanwhile, Jacques Rudolph retired hurt on 28 at the fall of Kuhn's wicket.

Earlier, dire shot selection from the Knights and high-class fast bowling from the men in blue rattled out the visitors for 90 inside 30 overs.

A devastating bowling display from Titans fast bowler Marchant de Lange had the Knights in trouble from the start.

De Lange returned figures of four for 29 in 7.2 overs as he exploited an inconsistent Willowmore Park, pitch with the variable bounce reeking havoc for the Knights line-up.

The former Proteas Test bowler found a good length, and with his extra pace had his first wicket inside the four overs.

Knights opener Reeza Hendricks fell to a full delivery as he attempted to drive through the covers, but gave Henry Davids an easy catch after 1.5 overs.

Ethy Mbhalati chipped in with the delivery of the innings to get rid of Rudi Second two balls later.

A length ball jagged back to clean-bowl the opener for one.

The dangerous Rilee Rossouw was next to fall with the score on 10.

Rossouw attempted to drive a pacey De Lange delivery, but only succeeded in playing-on as the ball made a mess of his stumps.

A brief period of restoration for the Knights was interrupted by De Lange when he struck with the score on 41.

Pite van Biljon was out when he miss-timed a drive to point as De Lange bagged his third scalp with the innings just 10 overs old.

Wickets continued to tumble amid the unpredictable Benoni pitch, with De Lange clean bowling Nicky Boje for 16 as the Knights were all out for 90 after 27.2 overs.
