Basseterre - New Zealand defeated the West Indies by 88 runs on Wednesday in the third one-day international at Warner Park to trail 2-1 in the five-match series:


New Zealand 249-9 (Rob Nicol 59, Nathan McCullum 50, B.J. Watling 40, Daniel Flynn 28, Tim Southee 17 not out; Andre Russell 4-57, Sunil Narine 2-28) def. West Indies 161 (Russell 42 not out, Dwayne Smith 19, Kieron Pollard 16, Johnson Charles 15; Jacob Oram 2-22, McCullum 2-40, Trent Boult 2-45)
