Pretoria - Malibongwe Maketa has been re-appointed as assistant coach of the Titans cricket team.
The Titans said on Thursday Maketa would take up his post from May 1.
"I am delighted that Mali (Maketa) has agreed to be the Titans assistant coach," said Titans head coach Matthew Maynard.
"After an exhaustive search he was the standout candidate and I am looking forward to working with him in the future.
"Mali brings a wealth of experience to the post and I am sure we will learn a lot from each other in the coming months and seasons.
"He has a great way with players and he will help them develop to reach their maximum potential."
Maketa, 31, was first appointed to assist Richard Pybus in the 2006/07 season and they enjoyed a successful partnership, winning five domestic trophies over a two-year period.
Having been named the Northerns coach in May 2008, Maketa led the amateur side to the provincial one-day and T20 trophies.
