Khan wants a recall for CWC

Islamabad - Ex-captain Younis Khan says after playing international cricket for more than a decade he deserves a place in Pakistan's limited-overs squad and wants to play in next year's Cricket World Cup.

Khan has been overlooked by selectors for the one-day format since March 2013, missing two ODI series against South Africa, the Champions Trophy and Asia Cup.

The 36-year-old Khan says, "I am in the 14th year of my international cricket and want to leave myself instead of being ignored," by selectors.

He remains among the fittest of players in national training camps and is still a regular member of the test team.

Khan quit T20s in 2009 after leading Pakistan to victory in the World Twenty20.
