Kallis starts 2015 with a bang

Cape Town - Jacques Kallis started 2015 with a bang when he produced another stellar performance for Sydney Thunder in Australia's Big Bash T20 League.

Opening the batting, Kallis smashed 70 runs off just 49 balls against Perth Scorchers at the WACA on Thursday.

It helped the Thunder to 179/3 off their allotted 20 overs.

Kallis then also starred as an opening bowler, taking 2/24 off four overs to help his side to a 20-run victory.

After four matches in the competition, Kallis is the second highest run-scorer with 170 runs at an impressive strike rate of 151.78.

Earlier in the tournament, Kallis made his highest ever T20 score when hescored 97 not out against the Brisbane Heat in Sydney.
