Tendulkar steers India to lead

Cape Town - Sachin Tendulkar made 146 as India eked out a two-run first innings lead on the third day of the third and final Test against South Africa at Newlands on Tuesday.

India were all out for 364 in reply to South Africa's 362.

Fast bowler Dale Steyn took five for 75 for South Africa.

Tendulkar's 51st Test century lasted for 465 minutes. He faced 313 balls and hit 17 fours and two sixes before he was bowled by Morne Morkel.

Twenty-six overs remain for the day.
