Proteas pull in the fans

Cape Town - The full house signs have already gone up for the next two matches in the MTN ODI series between the Proteas’ Standard Bank squad and India to be played at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium on Saturday and at Sahara Park Newlands next Tuesday.

Both matches are day/night contests, starting at 14:30.

This will be the last opportunity for fans to see the Proteas in action before they leave for India next month to take part in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) selectors will also be naming their final 15-man squad for the tournament next week so there will be huge interest in the performance of individual players.

The Proteas won Wednesday’s opening MTN ODI against India at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead by 135 runs to go 1-0 up in the series.

The final two matches will be played at Axxess DSL St. George’s next Friday, January 21, and at SuperSport Park the following Sunday. This latter match is the only day game of the series.
