Ahmedabad - India captain Virender Sehwag won the toss on Monday and sent the West Indies in to bat in the third one-day international at the Sardar Patel Stadium.
India replaced pace bowler Varun Aaron with Abhimanyu Mithun for the match, while the West Indies handed offspinner Sunil Narinea his debut at the expense of top-order batsman Adrian Barath.
World Cup champion India is looking to wrap up the five-game series after having already taken a 2-0 lead. India won the opening game of the series at Cuttack by one wicket and the second at Visakhapatnam by five wickets.
India won the preceding three-Test series 2-0.
