New Delhi - Australian spin legend Shane Warne has said he has been offered roles in Bollywood films and that he would consider acting now he is retired from cricket.

Warne devoted the final chapter of his sparkling career to the Indian Premier League (IPL) as captain of the Rajasthan Royals, and said he had developed a deep love of the country.

"I’ve been getting offers. If something interesting comes up, let's see," Warne, 41, told the Hindustan Times on Monday.

"I love India's culture, the craziness of everyday life and the passion of its people. I will certainly be here often enough."

Warne's final game was a 10-wicket victory over Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indians on Friday.

His plans for the future also include designing a clothing range for young girls, to be marketed in India.

"My daughter is excited to join in," he said.

He did not say whether his girlfriend, British model and swimwear designer Elizabeth Hurley, would be on hand to help create the fashion label.

I thought Bollywood made only good, wholesome, family movies. Doubt whether those would be Shane's genre.

No man, they acquired one of those boom cameras and wants him to act as a counter-weight at the back. Urban legend goes: Whilst tossing the ball in the air Warne apparently said to Darryl Cullinan "I've been waiting a long time for this" to which he replied "It seems you have been eating while you where waiting"...classic even if it is not true!

Well if Brett Lee can become a Bollywood singer , I'm sure Shane could become a guest actor in a movie.

He will need to learn how to do the famous head waddle when talking and in the middle of a market in central delhi when everyone stops and suddenly starts singing and dancing...he will need to learn how to pat the imaginary dog with one hand and twist in the imaginary light bulb with the other in a hurry. Ill buy his first movie if he gets it right!
