Durban - Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist won the toss and chose to bat Saturday in an Indian Premier League match against the Mumbai Indians.
West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith replaced New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris in the Deccan team for the match on a Kingsmead pitch that looks dry and perfect for batting.
Both teams are unbeaten, with Deccan winning both their games and Mumbai winning one with one match abandoned.
