Stokes, England restrict Black Caps

New Delhi - England seamer Ben Stokes took 3-26 to restrict New Zealand to 153-8 after a quickfire 46 from Colin Munro in the first semi-final at the World Twenty20 on Wednesday.

Munro struck seven fours and one six off 32 balls and figured in a 74-run second-wicket partnership with captain Kane Williamson (32) that helped New Zealand dominate in the mid overs.

New Zealand reached the 50-run mark in only 5.4 overs and 100 off 12.2 but lost wickets at regular intervals thereafter and could only manage 64 runs in the last 10 overs.

New Zealand, the only unbeaten side in the tournament, is looking to make its first final while England won the tournament in 2010.
