Proteas asked to bat in Nagpur

Nagpur - West Indies won the toss and chose to field first against South Africa in their crunch ICC World Twenty20 match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Friday.

LIVE: Proteas v West Indies

A win for the West Indies would see them qualify for the semi-finals while South Africa, sitting third in Group One after a loss and a victory, can ill afford to lose.

The Proteas made two changes to the team that beat Afghanistan by 37 runs in Mumbai on Sunday.

Left-handed batsman Rilee Rossouw and slow bowler Aaron Phangiso come in, with JP Duminy, who has a hamstring injury, and Kyle Abbott dropping out.

The West Indies stuck with the same side that defeated Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Chris Gayle will return to the top of the Windies' batting order if he gets through fielding unscathed.

He tweaked his hamstring against Sri Lanka and didn't bat but his been declared fit to face South Africa.
