Colombo - Sri Lanka's captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat in the World Twenty20 semi-final against Pakistan in Colombo on Thursday.
Both teams made one change from their last games. Pakistan brought back seamer Sohail Tanveer in place of Abdul Razzaq, while Sri Lanka dropped Akila Dananjaya to play Rangana Herath.
Australia and the West Indies will clash in the second semi-final on Friday. The final is scheduled for Sunday.
