Steyn wary of dangerous Dutch

Chittagong - The Proteas will not be taking their World Twenty20 encounter against the Netherlands in Chittagong on Thursday lightly.

The Proteas are aware of the danger the associate nation poses, despite their thrashing at the hands of Sri Lanka on Monday evening.

"We lost our first match so we know that we have to win every game that we play," Dale Steyn said on Wednesday.

"We can't be taking the Netherlands for granted despite what happened to them against Sri Lanka."

The Netherlands were bowled out for a lowly 39 runs in their opening match of the Super 10s, but still possess some big-hitting game-changers whom the Proteas are mindful of.

"Sri Lanka have some good bowlers, it's difficult for the associates when they come up against quality teams like Sri Lanka," he said.

"Without disrespecting them, I don't think the associates play against a lot of quality bowlers like that.

"When they come up against a situation like that it can be quite tricky so if you are not facing guys like Malinga all the time it can be quite difficult."

The mood in the camp is positive and upbeat, after the thrilling last-ball victory over New Zealand on Monday.

The Proteas held a lengthy training session in Chittagong on Wednesday afternoon, and fine-tuned some of their skills ahead of the important clash.

"In this tournament if you don't win all of your games it becomes difficult," Steyn remarked.

"It's the little one percenters that count in this game; Morné (Morkel) went for a lot of runs which is odd but it happens, people might criticise him but his last three balls which were three death yorkers were fantastic.

"If he had gone for two or one in those balls it would have come down to four in the last over and that would have been impossible to defend."
