Morkel sports nasty bruise

David Brooke

Cape Town - Afghanistan will be advised to be well and truly padded up when they face a fired up Proteas bowling attack in their ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies on Wednesday.

The match is scheduled to start at 23:00 SA time.

In a picture which will send shivers down the Afghans’ spines, Proteas all-rounder Albie Morkel nurses a bruised leg after bearing the brunt of a Dale Steyn express delivery during a nets session in Barbados.

South Africa need to win or draw the match to progress to the Super Eights - and it seems the Proteas speedster is up for the task.
