Nottingham - Sanath Jayasuriya and Tillekeratne Dilshan hammered an opening stand of 124 as Sri Lanka piled up 192-5 in the World Twenty20 match against the West Indies on Wednesday.
The pair took only 12.3 overs to decimate the West Indian attack in the last group C game that holds only academic interest after both teams qualified for the Super Eights at Australia's expense.
Left-handed Jayasuriya, at 39 the oldest player in the 12-nation tournament, smashed 81 off 47 balls that was studded with 10 boundaries and three sixes.
Dilshan, who contributed just 38 in the century partnership, went on to make 74 off 47 balls before he became one of seamer Lendl Simmons' four victims.
The West Indies were without captain Chris Gayle, the hero of his team's shock win over Australia in the first match who was nursing a knee injury.
Stand-in skipper Denesh Ramdin, the team's wicket-keeper, elected to field after winning the toss in good batting conditions.
All-rounder Kieron Pollard bore the brunt of the Sri Lankan assault, conceding 45 runs from his three overs.
