New Delhi - Six India cricketers have been asked to explain about an alleged brawl in a bar during the World Twenty20 in the West Indies.
Press Trust of India said on Tuesday that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has asked Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja to respond to within seven days.
Reportedly, the cricketers "were in a bar when fans started taunting and abusing them for their failure to reach the semi-finals and the cricketers reacted leading to the brawl," PTI said.
Yuvraj and Nehra have denied any incident took place.
India lost all three of its Super Eight matches and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
