Centurion - New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in their ICC Champions Trophy final against Australia at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Monday.

New Zealand will enter the match without their inspirational captain Daniel Vettori who has pulled a hamstring. His place in the team will be taken by off spinner Jeetan Patel.

Brendon McCullum will captain New Zealand in Vettori’s absence.

This is the first time that New Zealand and Australia have met in a one-day-international final at a neutral venue.

Teams:

Australia - Shane Watson, Tim Paine (wk), Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Hussey, Cameron White, Callum Ferguson, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Nathan Hauritz, Peter Siddle.

New Zealand - Brendon McCullum (capt & wk), Aaron Redmond, Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Neil Broom, Grant Elliot, James Franklin, Jeetan Patel, Kyle Mills, Shane Bond, Ian Butler.
