Sydney - Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has been ruled out of the Australia ODI squad for upcoming matches against Ireland and England, Cricket Australia announced Sunday.

Cricket Australia physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said Haddin had been forced out of the ODI part of the tour through injury.

"Brad has been struggling with tendon elbow pain (tennis elbow) while batting during the ICC Twenty20 World Cup," Kountouris said.

"As with most tendon injuries, time is required to allow the pain to settle and gradually increase the tendon load.

"As such, Brad will not be taking part in the ODI matches against Ireland and England."

Kountouris said Haddin's availability for the Twenty20 internationals and Test matches against Pakistan in England would depend on his progress over the next few weeks.

He has been replaced in the squad by Tasmanian wicketkeeper Tim Paine.

Matthew Wade will take Paine's place in the Australia A squad to play Sri Lanka A in Queensland later this month.
