Cape Town - Former Proteas batsman Herschelle Gibbs has revealed that he is likely to return to first class cricket with the Warriors franchise.
Gibbs, 40, was doing commentary for Radio2000 on the South Africa v West Indies Test at Newlands on Friday when he confirmed the news.
"I’ll know by the end of next week whether I’ll be playing for the Warriors. But things are looking good," said Gibbs.
Gibbs played 90 Tests, 248 ODIs and 23 T20 Internationals for South Africa.
He also played for various provincial teams, including Western Province, Cape Cobras, Deccan Chargers, Durham, Glamorgan, Khulna Royal Bengals, Mumbai Indians, Northern Districts, Perth Scorchers, St Lucia Zouks and Titans.
