Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) has learned with deep sadness and shock of the passing away last week of Lulama Masikazana after a sudden illness at the young age of 38.
A wicketkeeper-batsman, he represented Eastern Province in first-class 38 matches between 1993 and 2000, making one half century and claiming 111 dismissals.
“He was one of the first African players to represent South African Schools after the conclusion of the unity process - making the select national XI in 1991 and 1992," commented CSA CEO Gerald Majola,
“It is always a tragedy to lose a member of the CSA Cricket Family at such a young age and we share with his family and friends a sense of great personal loss.”
