Parnell out of Test squad

Johannesburg - Cricket South Africa on Sunday named a reduced squad of 14 players for the next two Castle Test matches against England.

The Test matches will be played at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead from December 26 to 30 and at Sahara Park Newlands from January 3 to 7.

The player to drop out is Warriors all-rounder Wayne Parnell.

"Those players who do not make the starting XI will be released to play for their franchises in the MTN40," commented selection convener Mike Procter," and will then rejoin the national squad.

"It is important they have opportunities to stay cricket fit."
