England dismissed at Newlands

Cape Town - The Proteas have dismissed England and taken a handy first innings lead on day three of the third Test at Newlands in Cape Town on Tuesday.

England started the day on 241/7 - some 50 runs in arrears of South Africa's first innings total of 291 all out.

Morne Morkel had Graeme Swann caught at first slip by Graeme Smith with the first ball of the day and followed up his feat in similar fashion, having James Anderson caught by Smith for a duck the very next ball.

Graham Onions was able to safely negotiate the hat-trick delivery.

Dale Steyn then wrapped up the England innings when he bowled Matt Prior for 76.

England were dismissed for 273, giving South Africa a lead of 18 runs.

Onions was the not out batsman on four.

Morkel finished with 5-75 while Steyn picked up 4-74.
