England keep winning formula

Nottingham - England stood by the same line-up that so emphatically won their series opener against Pakistan when naming an unchanged squad on Monday for the second Test starting at Edgbaston on Friday.

Tim Bresnan was retained in the 12-man squad following his late call-up last week after fellow Yorkshire seamer Ajmal Shahzad aggravated an ankle injury.

Bresnan was left out of the England XI that won the first Test of a four-match series by a crushing 354 runs inside four days at Trent Bridge here on Sunday and, barring injuries, the same side is set to play at Edgbaston.

England squad:

Andrew Strauss (captain), Alastair Cook, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan, Matt Prior (wkt), Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Steven Finn, Tim Bresnan

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
