England beat SL at The Oval

London - England beat Sri Lanka by 81 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-mared one-day international at The Oval on Thursday to take a 1-0 lead in this five-match series.

The match was a personal triumph for England all-rounder Chris Jordan, who struck an unbeaten 38 off 13 balls and then took three wickets for 25 runs.
