Cobras lose Duminy for CLT20

Cape Town - The Cape Cobras will be without all-rounder JP Duminy in the Champions League T20 tournament in India.

According to the ESPNcricinfo website, Duminy picked up a knee injury on South Africa's recent tour of Zimbabwe and was subsequently withdrawn form the Cobras squad.

It's still unclear though if the Cobras will be allowed to replace Duminy with all-rounder Sybrand Engelbrecht.

Approval from the CLT20 technical committee about a Cobras replacement is pending as they are yet to receive official documents confirming Duminy's injury.

The Cobras begin their campaign against New Zealand's Northern Districts in Raipur on Friday at 16:30 SA time.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
