Daryl Harper unhappy with ICC

London - Retired umpire Daryl Harper has accused the International Cricket Council of "selective management" for failing to discipline India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for criticising his decisions.

Harper says he felt targeted by India in last month's first Test against West Indies, leading to his withdrawal from the third Test and early retirement.

In his post-match interview, Dhoni blamed allegedly incorrect decisions by Harper for prolonging the match. Harper also says Dhoni told him on the field that India had problems with his officiating in previous matches.

In an interview with the cricinfo website, Harper says he is speaking out because the ICC will not.

Harper says he "expected the controlling body would do the controlling."
